ABOUT ME

My name is Jacqui, and I wear two distinct yet interconnected hats: I am an Art Director and an ACC accredited Life Coach. While these professions might seem worlds apart, they are unified by my passion for storytelling and understanding the human experience.
My love for stories, narratives, and people led me into advertising, where I thrive on crafting meaningful stories that resonate with others. This passion for connection and communication is the thread that ties my diverse interests together.
Storytelling is at the heart of everything I do. I am fascinated by how individuals see themselves, how they portray their identities, and how that relates to how they show up in the world. This curiosity drives my work and fuels my commitment to understanding the broader context of each person’s unique journey.
I have a particular interest in empowering women and youth, positioning myself as an anti-executive coach. I aim to break the mold of traditional executive coaching by focusing on personal growth and self-discovery rather than corporate success.
I proudly identify as a multipotentialite, a term that describes individuals with diverse interests and creative pursuits. This characteristic allows me to think contextually, understand broader implications, and spot connections across various disciplines. While the world needs specialists, I believe in celebrating the multifaceted nature of all individuals, whether in their professional roles or personal lives.
MY COACHING VALUES
I like to use the analogy of a garden. Think of people like gardens: we all have inherent beauty and potential to grow. In our journey through life, we need to nurture and tend to all parts of our garden to help it thrive through different seasons.
My role as a coach is to provide a supportive environment, much like a gardener providing the right conditions, so that you can explore yourself, determine what you want, and grow toward your goals. I believe that everyone is whole and capable, even if they feel overwhelmed by life's challenges. I provide the tools and space for people to cultivate their own growth through all seasons of life. (I have deliberately avoided making this garden analogy even cheesier by not referencing weeds, even though I am tempted. 😉)
AUTHENTICITY
When you are authentic, you are showing the true parts of yourself. You might not show all parts immediately but the parts that you do show are true. Being authentic is also about communicating in a way that helps people understand you. It is about being comfortable, confident, and direct about communicating what you want and what you need.
HUMANISTIC
The essence of being human is about giving yourself permission to be imperfect.
It’s about being okay with being in a state of transition, learning, and growth. This value is deeply rooted and inspired by the humanistic approach developed by Carl Rogers.
“A consistent theme underlies most of Rogers’s writing: deep faith in the tendency of people to develop in a positive and constructive manner if a climate of respect and trust is established. He had little use for any system based on assumptions that people could not be trusted or must be directed, motivated, instructed, punished, rewarded, controlled, and managed by others who are in a superior or “expert” position.” – Bruce Peltier
CONNECTION
Connection for me falls across various areas: connection with self, others, and the world around you. I see the world as an interconnected web, what we do does not only impact on us, it has far-reaching effects on the world and the people around us.
REFLECTION
Reflection for me is a process of growth, self-development, and self-discovery. It is the ability to actively assess our feelings, experiences, reactions, etc. It is an important part of growth,
for my development and growth and to be better equipped to help clients with their process of reflection.
INTEGRATION/ALIGNMENT
Integration is bringing all the parts of ourselves together -careers, passions, hopes, fears, etc. and figuring out how they all live together. It’s about breaking down the socially constructed boxes we place parts of our personality into and incorporating and finding links. I want to help people connect with their life calling, I understand that titles and roles are a part of life, but I want to work with the person underneath that. I want to understand your context and what makes you, you. Work with the authentic and genuine self.
